How changes go live

Most changes show on your website the moment you save. Here is what is instant and what is not.

There is no separate publish step for your menu or banners. When you save, your website updates right away.

  • Instant: menu prices, item availability, category hours, banners, discount codes and loyalty rewards.
  • Instant, as you type: changes inside an item’s Product Details window save as you go. There is no Save button there, just Close.
  • Instant, but check your hours: menu and opening hours control when customers can order, so double check the times before you click Update.
  • Needs a publish: changes to your Google and directory listings. You save them, then click Publish. See Edit and publish your listings.
  • Needs your approval: email campaigns and AI social posts are drafts until you approve and schedule them.
Good to know

If your menu comes from your POS (for example Toast, Clover or Square), edit items and prices in the POS. Town picks them up automatically. See Menus connected to your POS.

Still stuck? Email support@town.club and the Town team will help.
