Add or edit a menu item

Open the Builder

   Builder Opens a dropdown with one entry per location.

   Edit for [location] Opens that location’s version of the menu.

   + Add Category Adds an existing category from your library to this menu.

   + Create Category Makes a brand new category.

   + Item Adds a new item to that category.

   Up and down arrows Change the order items appear in.

   Special Attributes Not working yet. Use category hours or a scheduled discount instead.

   Trash Deletes the item after you confirm.

   Pencil Opens Product Details for the item.

Change the item

   Active On means customers can see and order it. Off hides it right away.

   Add Photo Upload the item photo.

   Name What customers see.

   Prep Time Minutes to make it. Leave 0 to use your default prep time.

   Tax (%) Read only here. Tax is set in your business settings.

   Description A line or two that sells it.

   Allergens Click + Add to tag allergens. Dietary Labels works the same way.

   Price The price for this variation.

   + Group Attaches a modifier group, like "Side Choice". The × on a group removes it.

    Active (variation) Turns one size off. Default picks which size is pre-selected.

    + Add Variation Adds another size or version, like Large.

    Close Closes the window.

1. Open the Builder 1 and choose Edit for [your location] 2.
2. Click the pencil 7 on the item, or + Item 3 on a category for a new one.
3. Update the name 3, description 6, photo 2 and prices 8.
4. Click Close 12.
